We are pleased to announce Tim Schmidt as the most recent recipient of the JANUS Energy Award. This award recognizes employees whose exceptional energy, initiative, and contributions advance the mission of JANUS Research Group (JANUS) while strengthening our internal and external partnerships.
Tim was recognized for his outstanding contributions as the Support Operations Lead supporting the Future Warfare Division's Future Study Program 2026 (FSP26) and the Chief of Staff of the Army's Wargame (FSP26-2). In this role, Tim diligently led the development of the Participant Manning Document, identifying the number and composition of working groups required for the event while recommending the personnel necessary to effectively support each effort.
Working collaboratively and iteratively with the client, Tim generated event invitations and meticulously tracked participation for nearly 274 attendees, including more than 37 General Officers and the Secretary of the Army. His attention to detail, responsiveness, and coordination ensured senior leader engagement and participant accountability throughout the planning and execution phases of the event.
Additionally, Tim created and managed the event's Administrative Instructions, a critical document outlining procedures for registration, visit requests, network access requirements, and other logistical and administrative processes essential to event success. His efforts provided the organizational framework necessary to support seamless execution across all aspects of the wargame.
Tim's exceptional initiative, professionalism, and commitment to mission accomplishment established the conditions for FSP26-2's success and reflect great credit upon himself, JANUS, and the entire FSP team.
