Our JANUS Energy Award shines a light on someone who truly exemplifies the heartbeat of JANUS Research Group (JANUS). Our most recent winner is Manuel (Ray) Pereira.
The Energy Award recognizes employees who go above and beyond their responsibilities. It honors those who actively seek ways to strengthen teamwork, support customers, and enhance our operations. These contributions often happen behind the scenes, but their impact is felt across the company.
Ray is proving to be a key asset to the CSFE N8 team. He has rapidly learned the logistics and financial intricacies involved in the expeditionary domain, and his hard work, attention to detail, and commitment to excellence have made him a key element of the team. In addition to his daily tasks, Ray maintains and provides weekly updates of the command travel log to ensure claims are liquidated in a timely manner and the budget accurately supports command needs. He processes wide area workflow invoices for XO/CO review and approval, prepares and submits purchase requests, and updates and maintains all PROtrack, FLC, and CECOS purchase requests for proper accountability. He also attends the CECOS director's sync to address issues and capture upcoming demands, informing decision making at the CECOS CO's monthly sync.
His contributions led to his being awarded a Certificate of Appreciation from the CSFE Executive Officer. For this work and his continuing drive for excellence in supporting all of CSFE's financial and logistical accounting practices, Ray is truly deserving of this award.
