Our JANUS Energy Award shines a light on someone who truly exemplifies the heartbeat of JANUS Research Group (JANUS). Our most recent winner is Katina Milligan.
The Energy Award recognizes employees who go above and beyond their responsibilities. It honors those who actively seek ways to strengthen teamwork, support customers, and enhance our operations. These contributions often happen behind the scenes, but their impact is felt across the company.
Katina recently supported the closeout activities of nine contracts in response to DCMA's request as a result of the settlement of JANUS 2023 and 2024 Final Indirect Rates. Katina had been working on a very tight schedule to prepare the closeout invoice for each contract in addition to her routine project accounting and billing job duties. She thoroughly pulled related contract documents, submitted invoices, and various accounting data for each contract. She looked up the contract documents to verify and make sure all billing data is presented correctly and the billing instructions are followed specifically for the submission. She also coordinated with the Contracts group to get required closeout documents filled out promptly, as well as reaching out to DCMA Administrative Contracting Officer to get through the submission hurdles.
Katina's hard work and dedication have ensured the timely submission of all requested closeout invoices and the collection of over $2M.
