Some people bring skill to their work. Others bring commitment. But every so often, we have the privilege of working alongside someone who brings something even more powerful: energy that inspires, motivates, and pushes our entire organization forward. Jesse Rodriguez is a recent recipient of the JANUS Energy Award.
The Energy Award recognizes employees who consistently go above and beyond to spark progress and deliver results. Jesse has done exactly that, working tirelessly and diligently, never missing a scheduled deadline. He is a top-notch professional who continuously performs to the highest standards, and his judgement and recommendations are highly respected by his peers, clients, and leadership.
Jesse was instrumental in planning, coordinating, capturing, creating, and publishing Concept Focused Warfighting Experiment (CFWE) Horse Blankets (HB) across three proposed CFWEs (C2/CounterC2, Cross-Domain-Fires, and Expanded Maneuver), deemed critical deliverables by JMC NID/G6 Leadership. CFWE HBs were essential for network engineers, signal teams, and stakeholders across the CFWE community as they collectively planned, designed, and developed the CFWE networks.
Despite a myriad of challenges—including the Government shutdown, toolset instabilities, and evolving customer requirements—Jesse developed work-arounds and coordinated with key stakeholders to keep CFWE HB development on schedule, never missing a deliverable. His efforts went beyond the CFWE HBs, also supporting PC C6 HB development and publication. Regarded as a Subject Matter Expert on the HB, Jesse was often called on by HB and Network Planners for guidance on how technical and operational architectures should be depicted, and his commitment to accuracy led to the successful publication of six CFWE HBs—two for each CFWE—with several drafts released along the way.
