Honoring the Energy That Elevates Us: Congratulations to Chris Griffin

05/08/2026

Some people bring skill to their work. Others bring commitment. But every so often, we have the privilege of working alongside someone who brings something even more powerful: energy that inspires, motivates, and pushes our entire organization forward. Chris Griffin is a recent recipient of the JANUS Energy Award.

The Energy Award recognizes employees who consistently go above and beyond to spark progress and deliver results. Chris has done exactly that. Chris works tirelessly and diligently, never missing a scheduled deadline. His attention to detail demonstrates time and again that he is a top-notch professional who performs his work to the highest standards.

Chris was instrumental in planning, coordinating, capturing, creating, and publishing the Project Convergence Capstone 6 (PC C6) Horse Blanket (HB), deemed a critical deliverable by JMC NID/G6 Leadership. The HB provided early looks, and continuous updates, at the proposed PC C6 Task Organization and Technology Insertion early in the PC C6 Planning Process, and was critical not only for Data Product development but also as a reference for the experimental network design and development.

The PC C6 HB was a massive undertaking, capturing accurate representations of Forces and their MTOE'd resources, Mission Command systems, communications systems, technology insertion, and the classification enclaves established for the PC C6 Experiment. Despite a myriad of challenges—including the Government shutdown, toolset instabilities, and evolving customer requirements—Chris developed work-arounds, coordinated with key stakeholders, and never missed a scheduled HB deliverable, leading to the successful publication and delivery of four PC C6 HB versions along with several drafts.

Regarded as the Subject Matter Expert on all things HB related, Chris was often called on for consultation regarding Force Structure evolution as changes were directed by US Army Senior Leadership. His judgement and recommendations are highly respected at JMC and within the PC stakeholder community, reflecting greatly on our company, on JMC, and on the US Army.

Thank you, Chris, for being a driving force at JANUS.
