Spotlight: Bonnie Gordon, Recipient of the JANUS Energy Award

Our JANUS Energy Award shines a light on someone who truly exemplifies the heartbeat of JANUS Research Group (JANUS). Our most recent winner is Bonnie Gordon.

The Energy Award recognizes employees who go above and beyond their responsibilities. It honors those who actively seek ways to strengthen teamwork, support customers, and enhance our operations. These contributions often happen behind the scenes, but their impact is felt across the company.

Bonnie was recognized for her exceptional performance in support of the Future Warfare Division's (FWD) Future Study Program and the execution of FSP26-2 STAFFEX, a critical preparatory wargame event. Prior to the event, Bonnie demonstrated outstanding initiative by traveling to Fort Eustis to complete all required training and administrative processing necessary to obtain access to the Secret Internet Protocol Router Network (SIPRNet), directly enabling successful execution of the wargame mission.

During execution, Bonnie provided exceptional support in participant reception and accountability by assisting with the check-in and badging of more than 150 attendees. She then served as a Lead Rapporteur, responsible for the rapid and accurate capture of complex wargame discussions among subject matter experts and senior military leadership. The data she collected was instrumental in informing senior leader decisions regarding the manning and equipping of the 2040 Scenario Required Force.

In addition to her analytical responsibilities, Bonnie delivered outstanding administrative support through the preparation of meeting spaces, assembly of reference materials, general event administration, and post-event cleanup and breakdown. Her flexibility, attention to detail, and tireless work ethic were essential to the event's smooth execution.

What stands out most about Bonnie isn't just her performance, it's her presence. Her energy makes JANUS a stronger, more collaborative environment. Extremely positive, motivated, and professional, Bonnie is a true pleasure to have as part of the team. Her outstanding performance reflects great credit upon herself, JANUS, and the Future Warfare Division team.
