Multi Domain Threat Analysis & Experimentation

Although the U.S. Army's ability to dominate land warfare remains unparalleled, peer competitors have developed capabilities that match — and in some cases exceed — our own in specific domains. Future conflicts will span all five warfighting domains: land, air, maritime, space, and cyber. The nation must continue to develop and deploy new weapons and technologies that ensure dominance in each domain for years to come.

The Program Executive Officer (PEO) for Intelligence, Electronic Warfare and Sensors (IEW&S) needed a trusted partner to execute its Experimentation Program — applying the scientific method in controlled military environments to determine cause-and-effect relationships, collect data, and validate findings that directly inform Army modernization efforts.

JANUS leads experimentation support services for the PEO IEW&S Headquarters Integration Directorate across the Army's most critical modernization experiments: Project Convergence (PC), Multi-Domain Operations Live (MDO-L), and the Army Expeditionary Warfighting Experiment (AEWE).

Our team delivers end-to-end experiment lifecycle support — from planning and use case development through execution and post-experiment analysis. JANUS accelerates decision dominance through JADC2 network architecture design, construction, and accreditation. We lead system-of-systems integration connecting separate computer systems and software applications into unified, interoperable solutions that enable real-time tactical problem-solving across all domains.

JANUS provides modeling, simulation, and new equipment training focused on creating tactical operations fully compatible with Multi-Domain Operations. Our teams deliver rigorous assessment of new organizational concepts and system capabilities, combined with operational research and analysis to inform the Army's most consequential investment and procurement decisions.

JANUS has delivered continuous experimentation support across Project Convergence 21 and 22 — the U.S. Army's premier force modernization experiments — enabling the Joint and multinational force to rapidly integrate effects across all domains. Our work directly informs how the Army transforms to meet future warfighting requirements, providing the Joint Force with the range, speed, and converged technologies needed for future decision dominance.
