Position Overview

 

IT Help Desk Technician

Responsibilities

  • Triage and respond to IT help desk requests and route them to the appropriate personnel, as necessary
  • Provide end-user support for desktop hardware and software requests
  • Deploy computers for new hires
  • Act as a backup when other IT staff are not available
  • Provide support for account-management issues (i.e. password resets and permission issues)
  • Utilize and add to the IT knowledgebase
  • Adhere to company policies and best practices when performing work
  • Provide excellent customer service to end users

Required Skills

  • Knowledge of the following to provide intermediate-level technical support services:
    • Microsoft Windows and Office
    • Basic desktop, laptop, and printer hardware troubleshooting and maintenance (i.e. can replace a hard drive or RAM module)
    • Basic printer
    • Basic local area networking (LAN) experience
  • Able to lift 50lbs
  • Complete fluency in English
  • Able to speak and write professionally
  • A desire to learn more

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with the following technologies:
    • User management in Active Directory
    • Office 365  SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, and Exchange Online
    • PowerShell
    • Windows 10/11, Windows Server

Able to build a desktop computer from basic components and install an operating system
