Position Overview

To provide FCC Army and Joint Concept Division Support Services this position requires applicant to upon request, write, edit and rephrase concept documents and turn them into outputs for internal and external audiences. Reviewing Documentation and product deliverables. Must proof read draft documents and product deliverables to ensure they are grammatically correct and follow Army writing standards in accordance with AR 25-50, Preparing and Managing Correspondence. Prepare and Edit Visualization Products. In coordination with the government Army Operating Concept (AOC) Writing Team, develop professional visual aids to support the development of the Framework Narrative, AOC and all AOC supporting documents. Conduct Literature Research, Analysis, and Synthesis to discover, analyze, and synopsize literature that is relevant to the development of new concepts. Research literature includes strategic guidance; potential adversaries and threat descriptions and analyses; Future Operating Environment descriptions, final reports, and recommendations from past wargames, studies, analyses, experiments, and tests and reports on emerging technologies; and Joint and Sister Service concepts.


Positions Requirements:

  • Knowledge of English grammar, writing, and editing practices, proofreading, and familiarity with the requirements of DoD policy and regulations.
  • Extensive knowledge of the specialized grammar and writing guidelines as they pertain to the preparation of Army Concept documents.
  • Ability to select, analyze, and present information in an organized, logical, and convincing manner for the intended audience. Familiarity with various audiences so that material can be presented to provide a thorough understanding of Army Concepts.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, to gain cooperation from others. Skill in writing papers for publication or for use in the decision making process.
  • Capacity to work with a great deal of independence without technical supervision and the ability to follow schedules associated with writing assignments.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe, Access, and advanced desktop publishing software and their applications to write and edit reports.
  • Clear understanding and knowledge of Army Concepts.

  • Travel 20-25%
