Position Overview

 

Job Description:

The JMCSN consists of three primary network enclaves, CLASSIFIED, COALITION, and one additional UNCLASSIFIED network, that support the mission of JMC in maintaining and establishing U.S. and Mission Partner Environment (MPE) networks at the secret and below classification levels in support of U.S. Army Joint Warfighting Assessments, Project Convergence, operational experimentation, and other concept and capability assessments conducted under Army Futures Command and the Army’s modernization strategy.  This position will be responsible for re-accreditation preparations for 2023, then maintenance and update of these three networks through future endeavors.

The Information Systems Security Lead should have the following qualifications​

  • Knowledge of accreditation/reaccreditation process for US Army
  • Familiarity with DoD RMF Processes, DoDI 8510.01/NIST SP 800-53
  • Experience with WSUS, SCAP, and ACAS Servers and administration
  • Experience with STIG process, including updates and patching
  • Familiarity with End Game (formerly HBSS), especially reading and interpretation of dashboards
  • Familiarity with Elastic (formerly ESM), especially reviewing and corelating anomalous incidents
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to lead projects, including planning, follow up and implementation of project plans
  • Excellent writing and editing skills, experience with SoPs and artifact preparation
  • Understanding of POA&M processes
  • Prior experience with remediation and mitigation efforts
  • Experience with RMF System diagrams, SoPs, Disaster Recovery Plans, Hardware and Software Lists
  • Ability to associate all findings with an artifact and complete implementation plan for security controls 
  • Experience with eMASS application

Mandatory Requirement

  • CURRENT SECRET clearance
  • IAT Level II certifications required; Security+ with OS certification (Linux or Windows)
  • CISSP, CISM, or other high-level training required (certification optional)
  • Travel: 20% The highly dynamic nature of the JAED mission may require some aspects of the tasks to be provided on short notice. Substantial travel may be required.

Experience and Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • IAT Level II Certifications required
  • 3-5 years IT experience, 1-3 years IA/Cyber Security Experience
