THE WHAT

Forge represents the continuing evolution of how the Army Modernization Enterprise envisions, approaches, and uses data analysis and visualization to better inform senior leaders on the impacts of capability development and resourcing decisions.

JANUS provides skilled and experienced Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) on both sides of the Forge tool - technical and user functionality.

JANUS' extensive reach across the Army Modernization Enterprise provides a unique perspective and opportunity to link various modernization proponents in the design of Forge Modules and the processes that modules support.

As future force capability requirements rapidly change due to shifts in the operational environment, the modernization enterprise must be able to start, stop, or change directions quickly based on rigorous data analysis and informed senior leader decisions.

THE WHY

JANUS employs human-centered design methodologies to collaborate with customers to comprehensively under business problems and user needs, informed by real insights and tracked through Design artifacts.

Forge plays a critical role in this execution by providing tools for rigorous data analysis that clearly display the impacts of senior leader decisions not only on a single capability, but across warfighting functions, future formations, levels of war, and program evaluation groups (PEGs).
