JANUS Research Group Recognizes Joseph Biggers with Energy Award

07/24/2025

JANUS Research Group (JANUS) is pleased to recognize Joseph Biggers with an Energy Award for his work in significantly enhancing Futures and Concepts Center's (FCC's) support for all international engagements over the past 90 days.

As the lead planner/coordinator for these initiatives, Mr. Biggers demonstrated outstanding dedication and made significant contributions to advancing multicultural relationships and fostering global understanding. He demonstrates a strong commitment to understanding the unique aspects of each country that visits the FCC. His direct, hands-on approach consistently ensures that FCC leadership is equipped with the most recent and relevant information, setting the standard for international VIP visits. Mr. Biggers' duties include researching and summarizing the capabilities of each country's military in areas such as experimentation, concept development, and requirements analysis. His hard work has resulted in consistently positive feedback from the leadership of each visiting country.

He provided strategic information to FCC leadership to ensure preparedness for major international VIP visits in June and July 2025. These visits included the Dutch 3-star Army Chief of Staff, the Japanese Army's 3-star Training and Research Development Commanding General, the Dutch Army Staff Officer students, and the incoming Israeli Ground Forces Attaché. To prepare for these engagements, Mr. Biggers coordinated directly with HQDA G3, the Army Futures Command (AFC) International Programs team, the TRADOC International Programs team, and the Dutch, Israeli, and Japanese liaison officers assigned to TRADOC, as well as the respective embassies and authorities in The Hague. This collaboration allowed FCC leadership to have more detailed and focused engagements.

In addition, Mr. Biggers created a unique spreadsheet and document tool to enable anyone at the FCC to plan and execute a successful international engagement. He has also established an exemplary rapport with the 15 foreign liaison officers accredited to TRADOC and representing various countries, as well as with all the Program Managers in TRADOC and the International Programs team at AFC. His efforts fostered a positive team environment and showcased strong leadership through mentorship and effective oral and written communication.

Mr. Biggers was recognized by the Experimentation, Synch and Resourcing Division (ExSR), G-3/5/7, FCC for his efforts. The ExSR Deputy Chief called his contributions consistently excellent. Mr. Biggers' impactful contributions and efforts foster a more inclusive and globally connected force, reflecting great credit upon himself and JANUS.

We are pleased to recognize Mr. Biggers' contributions to our team with this Energy Award.
