JOHN COLE AWARDED JANUS RESEARCH GROUP LEADER OF THE YEAR

March 17th, 2023 (Evans, GA) - JANUS Research Group LLC (JANUS) has awarded Mr. John Cole the Leader of the Year for his work as Senior Lead Architect and leading a team of 35 Operational Architects (OAs) across the country under the United States Army Futures Command (AFC), Futures and Concepts Center's (FCC) Architecture Integration Management Division (AIMD) Task Order (TO).
Over his time with JANUS, John successfully expanded the initial level of effort from 24 incumbent OAs, to at one point, a high of 45 full-time architects, operating at 19 customer locations in 12 states across three time zones. Through his management and guidance to staff members to achieve maximum performance, he is routinely cited by the client as the key to JANUS' successful delivery across his five major team efforts:
- Organizational Based Architecture Development
- Project Convergence
- Mission Thread Support
- Joint Modernization Command (JMC)
- Capability Development Integration Directorate (CDID)
In addition to Mr. Cole's primary client facing position, over the past year, he was a major contributor to the three month-long and successful 2022 re-compete proposal efforts for AIMD. He played a critical role in authoring the write-ups for the architecture-related portions of the proposal resulting in achieving success and winning the new contract. His expertise and knowledge about the client, and more importantly the skills of his matrixed team, allowed for the team to capture the additional work.
Above all, Mr. Cole focused on achieving customer satisfaction at all times. The client's trust in both he and his team, and their expertise, placed them on the leading edge of FCC's efforts to continue the development of architectures, which are maintained in the Army's official repository for OAs, the Army Capabilities, Analysis, Development, and Integration Environment (ArCADIE).
Mr. Cole continues to be an outstanding leader within JANUS, for the FCC AIMD Architecture team, and within his local community. Always on target in client delivery, he is a valuable and respected member of the JANUS FCC team.
