ROBERT PRATER AWARDED JANUS RESEARCH ENERGY AWARD
October 26, 2021 (Evans, GA) - JANUS Research Group (JANUS) has awarded Robert Prater with an Energy Award in recognition of his application of subject matter expertise, paired with his extensive understanding of the overall Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System (JCIDS) process which has proven to be an integral part of the Robotics Requirements Division team's ability to produce high quality capability development products to support the operational needs of the Soldier.
Robert has been actively involved with the Program Manager and user community ensuring the Soldier Borne Sensor (SBS) meets current requirements, as well as the user's operational needs. His participation in the SBS program has been instrumental in supporting the next fielding for SBS which provides squads the ability to assess a situation from a cover and concealed position, mitigating their risk of detection. Additional, Robert had an active role in influencing changes to Army Flight Regulations, making it easier for squads to operate SBS.
Currently, Robert is the Lead Developer working on the Nano Annex to support the Joint Small Unmanned Aircraft System CDD.
Robert continually and actively seeks ways to expand his knowledge and understanding of current and emerging technology and requirements geared to the advancement of Soldier readiness and safety.
