CHARLES MCKAY AWARDED JANUS RESEARCH ENERGY AWARD

August 12, 2021 (Evans, GA) - JANUS Research Group (JANUS) has awarded Charles McKay with JANUS Research's Energy Award for his work supporting the Multi-Domain Operations Simulation Center (MDOSC), U.S. Army Joint Modernization Command.
For the past 9 months, Charles has provided invaluable assistance leading Joint Modernization Command (JMC) MDOSC and Joint Staff J7 efforts to research, build, and review/edit the database products in the Joint Training Data Services enabling execution of the Chief of Staff of the Army's annual capstone force modernization experiment, Joint Warfighting Assessment 21 (JWA 21).
The scope of his work is immense and has high visibility at Army and Joint Staff levels. For example, Charles worked hand in hand with the JS J7 simulations team to create the database for the Multinational Division (MND) coordinated with JMC G3 and the United States Army Pacific (USARPAC) exercise planners for Task Organization updates and changing doctrinal aspects of the JWA 21 Force Structure.
Additionally, Charles tested new future capability models of Theater fire support systems during the risk reduction events and provided feedback on required corrections or improvements to ensure they work properly. Mr. McKay sat with many unit members across the MND to teach them the proper way to utilize this equipment in the Joint Conflict and Tactical Simulation (JCATS).
On-site at Fort Carson, CO during the final phases of JWA 21, Charles supported execution of Risk Reduction Event 3 coordinating with select Mission Command System sponsors and technical representatives to ensure their capabilities were successfully integrated onto the JADC2 exercise network.
Lastly, he coordinated throughout JWA 21 with the technical team at JS J7 and the training units for response cell and adjudication support to all Multinational Division units which was critical for Joint Multinational mission command systems integration and future capability assessments.
In sum, Charles performs this work diligently and flawlessly. His judgment is highly respected within MDOSC and the JMC team. He is a top-notch, Joint modeling and simulation professional supporting the JMC team who has earned a reputation for excellence that reflects brightly on the support that JANUS Research Group provides.
