JANUS Research Group Recognizes Preston James with Energy Award

JANUS Research Group (JANUS) is pleased to recognize Instructional Systems Designer Preston James with an Energy Award.
Preston has exemplified exceptional skills, dedication, and teamwork as the lead developer for the Task Order 28 Civil Engineer Corps Officer School (CECOS) Environmental Protection and Advanced Environmental Management and Task Order 29 Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) Task Analysis projects. His proactive approach to collaboration with development and leadership teams, along with his coordination with program managers, ensured that all project objectives were met within scope.
Preston’s willingness to help the team whenever called upon is second only to his flexibility. As a result of competing requirements and deadlines, Preston seamlessly shifted from his work on the PLC Task Analysis to the CECOS projects to ensure all project deadlines were met. His efforts were critical to the production of two Training Project Plans, two Training Course Control documents, three Task Analysis documents, two JANUS first-of-their-kind student workbooks, and an interactive project overview graphic, along with the conversion of three PowerPoints to newer versions. His meticulous attention-to-detail ensured that all his products were developed and delivered at the highest quality, obtaining an average Quality Assurance score of 96% throughout the projects.
In addition, Preston led the onboarding of one new JANUS team member providing a smooth transition to the Business Unit. His devotion to high-quality training was a leading factor in the new hire’s completion of an accelerated onboarding process while demonstrating a high level of knowledge retention. His unwavering professionalism and positive demeanor have made him a trusted resource for training and development initiatives. Preston’s remarkable teamwork, adaptability, and commitment to excellence have established him as an asset to both the department and the entire JANUS organization.
