JANUS Research Group Recognizes Angel Alvarado with Energy Award
08/09/2025
JANUS Research Group (JANUS) is pleased to recognize Angel Alvarado with an Energy Award for his support of the Army National Guard's (ARNG's) Test, Measurement, and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE) readiness posture.
Angel demonstrated exceptional initiative, responsiveness, and dedication when the U.S. TMDE Activity (USATA) lost funding to ship calibrated TMDE from its labs back to the originating state TMDE labs. States were forced to absorb the increased time and cost burden of providing shipping labels for each return shipment. In response to the National Guard Bureau (NGB) direction authorizing NGB shipping funds for USATA use, Angel took swift and decisive action.
Within just two weeks—and while managing his regular workload—Angel created all necessary shipping authorization documents and expertly navigated them through the approval process. His efforts ensured timely implementation of the new funding policy. When one location required an increase in its authorized shipping total to accommodate heavy aircraft scales, Angel responded within the hour, updating the authorization and enabling immediate shipment. His proactive support significantly reduced return times and costs and directly enhanced ARNG TMDE operational readiness.
Angel's energy, ability, and commitment to mission success exemplify the highest standards of service. His work has had a tangible impact on the efficiency and effectiveness of TMDE operations nationwide. For his outstanding support and unwavering dedication to the ARNG TMDE team, we are pleased to recognize Angel with this Energy Award.
