JANUS Research Group Recognizes Damon Pridgen with Energy Award
08/13/2025
JANUS Research Group (JANUS) is pleased to recognize Damon Pridgen with an Energy Award for his exceptional work in the development of virtual enhancements that consistently exceed expectations.
Damon's skill and dedication always result in products that exceed expectations. While working on the Electrical Aircraft Elevator (EACE) Mechanical and Electrical Track courses, Damon developed next-level interactive training for the 21st-century Sailor. As a key member of the enhancement team, he took 3D computer models of real-world equipment and built them into virtual environments that allow Sailors to walk through operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting in a safe and risk-free manner. JANUS' customer is tremendously impressed with the sophistication, intractability, and visual realism of Damon's enhancements.
Damon established a direct line of communication and process with the curriculum development team to streamline curriculum development and updates. This eliminated a redundant storyboard and saved more than 80 hours of development time and approximately $4,000 in labor costs. His support to TO27, 28, and 29 with image cleanup and improvement of blurry, unreadable images and graphics resulted in high-quality products representative of JANUS' high standards. His efforts have decreased the time required to search for new images, resulting in quality products that always impress our customers.
Damon's dedication to his craft, quality, and his fellow JANUS team members is world class. We are pleased to recognize Damon's contributions with this Energy Award.
