JANUS Research Group Recognizes Fredy Finch with Energy Award
05/21/2025
JANUS Research Group (JANUS) is pleased to recognize Fredy Finch with an Energy Award for his outstanding performance and dedicated support of the Future Study Program 2025 (FSP25) and the successful execution of the Chief of Staff of the Army's Wargame.
Throughout the event, Fredy demonstrated a strong command of the Operational Wargame System (OWS) ruleset and maintained a clear understanding of the event design and wargame scenario. His attention to detail and technical proficiency were vital to the event's setup, accurate adjudication of in-game events, and seamless operation of the OWS software visualization tool.
Fredy stepped up to provide seamless support when Threat Emulation Force (TEFOR) role players encountered access issues with the VASSAL game visualization tool – critical to the double-blind nature of the game. He coordinated the placement, movement, and actions of TEFOR units, ensuring both the VASSAL system and physical tactical maps accurately reflected unit positions for both sides.
In addition, Fredy significantly contributed to the technical and logistical aspects of the event, including providing support with information systems and post-event breakdown. His outstanding efforts were critical to the success of the event and reflect the professionalism, initiative, and adaptability JANUS solutions provide.
We are pleased to honor Fredy's accomplishments with this Energy Award.
