JOHN BRASHER AWARDED JANUS RESEARCH ENERGY AWARD

August 9, 2021 (Evans, GA) - JANUS Research Group (JANUS) has awarded John Brasher with JANUS Research's Energy Award for consistent exceptional performance as a member of our Robotics Requirements Division (RRD) Support Team.
CDID determines and develops future force capabilities and future Infantry and Armor requirements, and the day's events were meant to provide defense industry partners and partners within academia robotics and autonomous systems requirements so organizations within industry and academia could begin researching and developing manned and unmanned air and ground systems.
Mr. Brasher served as RRD's lead for Industry Day in April 2021 hosted by the Maneuver Center of Excellence (MCoE) the Maneuver Capabilities Development and Integration Directorate (MCDID) out of Fort Benning, GA. He worked with the Concepts Development Division (CDD) to provide information which led to everyone successfully participating in Industry Day.
As the lead, John was responsible for scheduling all of the Robotics teams' sessions and supporting the RRD Directors' briefings to Industry. He was also tasked to review all Industry submitted by White Papers and provide tier ranking to CDD which will result in RRD receiving technology briefings from Industry to support the Robotics Requirements Divisions' requirements' documents and prototyping efforts. His understanding of the requirements and critical review of submissions proved to be instrumental in eliminating unqualified submissions and identifying industry solutions that warranted further review. John was able to complete the review quickly and efficiently allowing the government ample time to evaluate emerging technology and make recommendations for the best path forward.
His efforts are directly tied to making sure our Soldiers have the best cutting-edge technology to enhance the warfighting capability from now into the future.
