JANUS Team Member John Rosenberger Celebrates 10 Years

Senior Program Manager John "Rosey" Rosenberger is celebrating 10 years with JANUS Research Group (JANUS) this month.
Rosey started with JANUS in October 2015 leading a group of four subject matter experts as the Senior Program Manager for the Joint Mission Command (JMC) task orders. That doesn't begin to describe what Rosey truly is—the consummate team player who views every opportunity as one in which his team can contribute real solutions to today's warfighter. He was recognized for his contributions as JANUS Leader of the Year in 2018.
Throughout his work supporting the Army's change from the Brigade Modernization Command (BMC) to the JMC and working through multiple contract restructurings, client personnel needs changes, and constant hiring to replace key workers who transitioned to government service, Rosey's steady leadership has kept the team on track and successful. As the Project Manager of the JMC, his work earned the first ever seat at the commander's table alongside the head of the Army's Operations Directorate (J3) and his staff. This is the first time a contractor has achieved such a feat.
Rosey also facilitated the change from the Army Warfighting Challenge to the Joint Warfighting Challenge, a major modernization shift to a broader, concept-driven Army exercise model that includes joint forces. For the past four years, his team has contributed to the successful execution of the Army's premier experiment, Project Convergence. Their efforts have integrated more than 150 unique United States and coalition mission command systems into the first operational CJADC2 network.
Rosey's motivation to continue bringing JMC solutions is his desire to work alongside his Army counterparts to create the most lethal force possible. As a former Army Soldier, Rosey understands what today's Soldier needs and what the Army needs to remain the premier global military force it has always been. He brings that passion and that knowledge to lead his team to successful solution after successful solution in support of JANUS' JMC contracts.
Rosey serves as the informal "Mayor of JMC." His 15-year association and expert knowledge of JMC's mission and long-tenured civilian leadership have enabled him to anticipate changes, proactively mitigate challenges, and maintain a trusted advisor status since becoming the Program Manager. His input has been critical to JANUS winning three recompete contracts for JMC work.
When not working, Rosey can be found supporting an injured veteran program, taking veterans camping, and more—all in the service of his military brethren.
