JANUS Team Member Frank Daig Celebrates 10 Years
04/08/2025
ARNG Logistics Systems Subject Matter Expert (SME) Frank Daig is celebrating 10 years with JANUS Research Group (JANUS) this month. In his time with JANUS, Frank has contributed in many ways to our team, truly earning the title of SME.
Ten years ago, Frank joined JANUS to assist the CASCOM Enterprise Systems Development Division in developing and functionally supporting all phases of the GCSS-Army solution concerning Army National Guard (ARNG) matters. Frank aided systems developers in understanding and incorporating ARNG requirements and functionalities. Additionally, his work helped to resolve ARNG issues with CASCOM/ASSC staff and facilitated the transition of current ARNG logistics business practices into GCSS-Army operations. Frank has consistently promoted understanding and integration of future logistics operations through conferences, seminars, workshops, briefings, and meetings for all levels of ARNG Logistics.
Frank has had to adapt to the many updates in the Enterprise Resource Planning systems over the years and has done so seamlessly and with great confidence. His abilities have greatly contributed to CASCOM's successful integration of the following major updates to the GCSS-Army Enterprise Resource system: TULSO Gun Card integration; MEDLOG; Army Aviation, and Materiel Management Information System (MMIS) two-way interface.
Frank has always risen to the challenge, whatever it may be. Ensuring CASCOM and Active Army (COMPO 1) understand the logistical functions of the ARNG is crucial, as these operations differ significantly from one another. When enhancements to GCSS-Army are developed, Frank ensures these improvements do not hinder the ARNG. As a result of his work, Frank has received numerous Energy Awards in his time with JANUS.
In addition to his recognition at JANUS, Frank has been recognized by the leadership of CASCOM, Army Shared Services, the ARNG G44 maintenance branch, and many others. His desire to provide the best support he can in a timely manner to the logisticians of the Army National Guard is unparalleled. His teammates refer to him as D-A-I-G, which can mean Department of the Army Inspector General, a show of respect and acknowledgment of the many contributions he makes on a daily basis.
JANUS is pleased to celebrate Frank's 10th work anniversary and we look forward to his many contributions and accomplishments to come in the years ahead.
