In support of Columbia County Georgia's Board of Education, JANUS Research Group participates in the county's Work Based Learning Program. JANUS has a history of supporting internships from Columbia County schools. This year, JANUS was asked to participate in the Columbia County Chamber Of Commerce's TV commercial that highlights some of Columbia County's programs. The filming took place at the JANUS corporate office. JANUS' interns from Grovetown High School and Greenbriar High School were filmed performing several tasks involving the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR), Future Virtual Collective Training (FVCT), Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Virtuality (AV) (https://sbir.defensebusiness.org/search/item?id=27886&c=topic) - Haptics Project. The SBIR-OSD Haptics Project provides a venue for research and development into scalable, high-fidelity, secure communications, and visual/aural systems for 3D simulation supporting real-time augmented virtuality (AV), virtual reality (VR) and haptics integration.

The Loop Immuno-Oncology Laboratory

Community Outreach Content Background | JANUS Research Group

We applaud the leadership and generosity of JANUS' Founders and Owner Jeannie (Board Chair) and Tony Loop in establishing the Jeannie and Tony Loop Lab of Immune-Oncology at Georgetown Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center, https://sites.google.com/georgetown.edu/thekhleiflab/home. A new study published online July 29 in Nature Immunology, a research team, led by Samir Khleif, MD, director of The Loop Immuno-Oncology Laboratory at Georgetown Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center shows that the condition of immune cells (T cells) prior to anti-PD-1 therapy is a crucial determinant for the ability of cancer to respond.
