NIH STAR-LITE Website Launched!

The NIH STAR-LITE website project was a success!  The site was officially launched October 22, 2009 in time for the American Biological Safety Conference where Dr. Wilson and her team are promoting.

Simulation and Training Omnibus Contract (STOC II)

JANUS Research Group has been awarded a Simulation and Training Omnibus Contract
(STOC II) by the U.S. Army's Program Executive Office for Simulation
Training and Instrumentation (PEO STRI). JANUS will provide simulation,
training and instrumentation services and products to Army and
Department of Defense customers worldwide. This ten year,
multiple-award, indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract has a
two year base period of performance and three option ordering periods
with a total ceiling value of $17.5 billion for all awardees.

PEO STRI provides interoperable simulation, training, and testing
solutions and acquisition services to support military and civilian
agencies. Under the contract, JANUS will perform a full range of life
cycle management to include front end analysis, design, development,
fielding, and sustainment of training and testing systems,
instrumentation, and gaming system simulators.

SeaPort-e Award

SeaPort Enhanced (SeaPort-e) has made electronic procurement of Engineering, Financial, and Program Management support services a reality. Using SeaPort-e, the Navy Virtual SYSCOM (VS) Commanders (NAVAIR, NAVSEA, NAVSUP and SPAWAR) has adopted an integrated approach to contracting for support services. The SeaPort-e portal provides a standardized means of issuing competitive solicitations amongst a large & diverse community of approved contractors, as well as a platform for awarding & managing performance-based task orders. This unified approach allows SeaPort-e service procurement teams to leverage their best work products, practices, & approaches across the Navy's critical service business sector.

GSA Alliant Contract

The General Services Administration (GSA) has announced the small business awardees for their 10 year, $15 billion program, Alliant Contract. Regarded as the next generation Governmentwide Acquisition Contract (GWAC) for GSA, Alliant is designed to provide the greatest amount of flexibility possible to efficiently and effectively support the federal government's needs in its daily operations, its protection of infrastructure, the fight against terrorism and the development and marketing of emerging technologies. JANUS actively pursued this program since early 2005 and was among the 62 small businesses selected as having submitted "the most highly qualified offers."

JTRS Contract Win

JANUS recently teamed with SAIC to win a $42M contract award for Software, Engineering, and Technical Assistance in support of the Joint Tactical Radio Systems (JTRS) Ground Domain. This task order award under the Navy's SeaPort Enhanced (SeaPort-E) contract includes Program Management, Acquisition Management, Technical/Systems Engineering, Logistics Management, Financial Management, Cost Estimating, Administrative Support, and Operations Management support services for the JGD Program Management Office and JGD Product Management Offices located in CA, NJ, VA, and MD.

JANUS will assist in the PM's responsibilities to develop, produce, and field a family of interoperable, digital, modular, software defined radios while applying program management and acquisition techniques to meet cost, schedule, and performance requirements.
