Mrs Jeannette Cruz Loop
Chairwoman of the Board
Jeannette Cruz Loop is the Founder and Chairwoman of JANUS Research Group, Inc, (JANUS) headquartered in Evans, Georgia. Jeannette is married to Tony L. Loop and has two sons, Samuel and Jonathan. A long time resident of the Augusta Georgia area, Jeannette was born in 1962 to Ramon and Teresa Cruz Sabater and is one of nine children. Jeannette has spent most of her life being associated with the U.S. Army because her father served almost thirty years as an Infantry soldier and her husband, Tony, also served in the Signal Corps and retired from the Army.
Jeannette has worked in and for the Federal Government for over twenty-five years beginning her career as a Department of Defense contracting specialist where she became an expert in developing and managing Government contracts. She founded JANUS in April of 1997 after recognizing the Federal Government trend of outsourcing the Engineering and Information Technology support to Department of Defense Software, Engineering and Technical Assistance (SETA) contractors. Jeannette believed that if she was ever given the opportunity, she could bring a strong military work ethic and desire to provide superior support to the business community while being able to continue serving her country.
Under Jeannette’s leadership and vision, JANUS has grown to over 210 employees located throughout the United States. JANUS is now considered an industry leader in SETA support and currently supports six DoD ACAT 1 Acquisition Programs. In 2003, Jeannette Cruz Loop was recognized by the Small Business Administration (SBA) for being the SBA’s Minority Small Business Person of the Year for Georgia and the Southeast Region. Jeannette is a believer in volunteering and is giving back to the local military community. She is involved in many local and national charities as well as serving as an Industry Board Member for the Augusta National Science Center. She attributes her success and the success of JANUS as the result of being fortunate enough to be living in the greatest country in the world – the United States of America.
