Software Configuration Management Specialist- Journeyman

Position Overview

Consolidated engineering and technical services to support the Communication Electronics Command (CECOM), Software Engineering Center (SEC) Command, Control, and Communications-Tactical (C3T) Directorate located at Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG), Maryland.

Must be able to develop and maintain a software distribution list and create software packaging lists for sending software updates to field users.  Must be able to audit software change procedures, software development, software testing, and software documentation to verify compliance with software CM plans and procedures. Must be capable of participating in design reviews, configuration audits, and evaluations of software products to ensure proper identification, control, and status accounting of the software baseline for each system. Working on code management, audits, baseline identification, and preparation and control of documentation for software projects.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience with/in/as a(n) Army tactical networks and computer systems
  • IAT Level 1
  • Bachelor’s Degree Computer Science, Electronics Engineering or other Engineering or Technical discipline is required

Additional Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Army organization structure and Unit Task Organization concepts
  • Ability to effectively communicate and lead integrated project team(s)
  • Preferred experience: 5 years within the last 8 years

Clearance:
