Contracts Specialist

Position Overview

Works under the general direction of the Contracts Manager and Sr Director of Business Services to perform full life-cycle contract and subcontract administration responsibilities, which include but are not limited to oversight of Request for Proposal analysis and detailed funding requirements, subsequent proposal preparation support and submission, negotiations, post award contract set-up and administration and contract closeouts in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and contract specifications. 

Additional duties may include:

Processing Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) to include the preparation, approval process, and submission to Contracts Managers

Preparing Teaming Agreements and Subcontracting Documents to include the preparation, approval process, and submission to Contracts Managers.

Maintain contracts logs to include all incoming and outgoing transactions to ensure information is current and action items are identified and resolved promptly.

Responsible for processing and maintaining contracts, subcontracts and open efforts files (active and inactive).

Responsible for tracking and updating Subcontractor and Teammate requirements to include insurance certificates, expiring NDA’s and Representations and Certifications.

Ensure that specific contractual employee NDA’s are completed and sent to Government. or Prime Contractors.

Correspond with JANUS Corporate, Employees, Contractors and Government personnel as needed.

Special Requirements:

  • Excellent Word, Excel, Power Point skills
  • Strong written and verbal, and interpersonal skills are a must.

Experience and Education:

  • Government/legal contracting knowledge
  • Understanding and ability to use Federal Acquisition Regulations Guidelines
  • Experience with CPSR approved Purchasing / Contract Management Filing / Organization.
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 5+ years related experience with DoE and or DoD agencies
