Human Dimension Autonomy & Artificial Intelligence Analyst

Position Overview

Supporting Army Capability Integration Center (ARCIC) Capabilities Development Directorate (CDD), the analyst serves as the senior analyst for Autonomy & Artificial Intelligence (A/AI), conducting analysis and assessments leading to integrated Doctrine, Organization, Training, Materiel, Leadership and Education, Personnel, Facilities and Policy (DOTMLPF-P) solution strategies for the implementation of A/AI.  The analyst will assist the forming and participating in multidisciplinary research teams to develop complex products related to A/AI implications with respect to the Human Dimension aspects of military conflict.  The analyst will assist with managing integration of A/AI considerations across Army experimentation efforts including Unified Challenge and Unified Quest.  The Analyst will assist planning and execution of HD workshops and A/AI integration within ARCIC strategy.  The Analyst will serve as a Level III integrator, leveraging the Community of Practice (CoP) to rapidly assemble subject matter experts from academia, industry, government, and the military in support of required A/AI efforts within the HD Division (HDD).  The Analyst will provide support and recommendations for developed /developing Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System (JCIDS) products for the HDD.

Specific Skills:

  • Extensive experience with Machine Learning / Artificial Intelligence
  • Understanding of current state of AI technologies, and forecasted through 2050
  • Proficient relating highly technical information to current and future military operational challenges
  • Knowledge of Army operations or Joint Operations
  • Knowledge of Capability and Requirements development
  • Knowledge of CJCSI 3170 series documents (JCIDS)
  • Knowledge and experience in application of Model and Simulation techniques in support of JCIDS analysis
  • Experienced Facilitator, briefer and presenter of analytical results (written and/or orally) to senior ARMY leadership
  • Knowledge of Doctrine, Organizational, Training, Materiel, Leadership, Personal, Facility and Policy domains


  • Active SECRET Clearance
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Social Science, Computer Science, or related discipline with 8-10 years AI experience; or – Master’s degree with 6-8 years AI experience; or – PhD with 4-6 years of AI experience
  • Demonstrated ability in the application of Machine Learning / AI
  • 5+ years translating technical requirements into military operational requirements
  • 5+ years of experience with CJCSI 3170 (JCIDS) series processes, methodologies and products
  • Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)


  • US Army or US Marine Corps experience
  • 3+ years of experience with capabilities development
  • 3+ years of experience developing military operational concepts, doctrine, or strategies
  • Experience with US Army Capability Needs Analysis (CNA)


  • As required 25 % a year

            Regular travel to Washington, DC and Fort Leavenworth, KS

            Occasional travel to other TRADOC and non-TRADOC proponent locations
