Senior Front-End Engineer

Full Time-Temporary

Location

Augusta, GA or Remote for exceptional candidates

Position Overview

Will be working with a team that is developing and building and fielding client-side applications that integrate with our services.  Works closely with designers and back end engineers to develop user interfaces with modern web technologies that can be tested and scaled easily.  Will have an opportunity to contribute towards continual improvements of the UI architecture.  Will need to be able to write clean, maintainable and testable code all while showing a high level of technical excellence that will drive new ideas and deliver outstanding code.

Mandatory Requirement: Candidate must be a US Citizen in order to obtain and maintain an interim and final security clearance

Special Requirements:

  • B.S., M.S. or Ph.D. in Computer Science or related field

  • Expert knowledge of developing rich applications using Javascript and other web technologies (HTML5/CSS3)

  • Strong frontend UI framework knowledge (bootstrap, material)

  • Expert knowledge with at least one javascript web framework: e.g. ExtJS, Google Closure, Dojo, backbone.js, jQuery, MooTools, Prototype, React

  • Node.js experience

  • Experience working with js, Grunt or Gulp build tools

  • Experience with sites that rely on architecture beyond the basic LAMP stack

  • Experience with Cloud based web frameworks such as firebase

  • Source control primarily git

  • Asynchronous and event driven programming on a real project.

  • Web testing tools (Selenium, etc)

  • Multiple dynamic and static typed languages

  • Demonstrated ability to integrate with a wide array of backend technologies and services

  • Self-motivated and reliable
  • Enthusiasm for solving interesting problems and a willingness to learn

OPTIONAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Have a keen eye for creative designs

  • Possess an advanced knowledge of web and mobile UX/UI

  • Experience developing front-end mobile web applications

Travel:

  • Up to 15%
