Position Description: 

The position is for a Senior Sustainment Planner for the Joint Modernization Command (JMC).  This is a non-personal services position providing the JMC Mission Support Services at Fort Bliss, TX.

Command Information:

The JMC is a subordinate command within the United States Army, Training and Doctrine Command’s (TRADOC) Army Capabilities Integration Center (ARCIC). The JMC supports the Army holistic network strategy by providing a field evaluation capability with accelerated delivery of select capabilities to the current force, reducing operational risk prior to delivery and helping build a versatile mix of mobile, networked, and combat effective brigade combat teams (BCTs). 

The Senior Sustainment Planner will provide Strategic Planning (Sustainment) for the JMC at Fort Bliss, TX.  Specific knowledge, skills, and experience include:

  • Experience and knowledge of the Joint Modernization Command

  • Experience as a Logistical Planner, Army preferred

  • Skillful management of multiple, concurrent efforts

  • Accomplished briefer to senior Military and DoD leadership

  • Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office Suite

Required Skills and Experience: 

  • Secret Clearance

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field / Master’s desired

  • 20+ years of experience as a Logistical Planner

  • Logistics Leader College (LLC) coursework

  • Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) or Defense Acquisition University Logistics certification


  • As required estimated 10-15% a year
