NETOPS Technician

Position Overview

Primarily responsible for systems administration and technical support in lab for PM Tactical Network’s Network Operations (NETOPS) products. These products include current force NETOPS systems that support WIN-T INC1, WIN-T INC2, T2C2, Network Modernization and other tactical communications systems. 

Duties may include:

  • Conducting technical evaluation of hardware and software upgrades to components within the current Tactical Network NETOPS suite of equipment.

  • Maintain NETOPSs laboratory environment to conduct testing on new product improvements or technical issues experienced by users.

  • Develop NETOPS device configurations and provide input to Network Management Working Group.

  • Configure network device configurations (Routers, Switches, etc) as required for each fielded system.

  • Ensure current technical aspects of current NETOPS solutions are properly documented in manuals, DTPs, and training material.
  • Support process of Configuration Control Board and Engineering Changes ProposalsSupport Tactical NetworkNETOPS architecture and development
  • Provide technical status updates.

Skills Required:

  • 5 years’ experience in Microsoft Active Directory management, and MCSE certification preferred

  • Expert in scripting languages and Microsoft Power Shell

  • Experience maintaining virtual environments with VMWare ESX.

  • Experience working with Network Management in LAN and WAN environments

  • Certification in Cyber Security Credentials, Sec+ and/or CISM or CISSP, Net+ and/or CCNA


  • Clearance Required:Secret

  • Travel Required:20%
