Janus Research Group, Inc. is looking for a talented and motivated individual to join it’s growing art team as a Staff Artist. The individual we are currently seeking will posses skills in low poly 3D modeling, and texturing. Previous professional real-time 3D experience is a requirement of this position. The ideal candidate is a generalist who is capable of completing a wide range of tasks, in an efficient manner, and in an environment with fluid time lines.

As a Staff Artist you will have the opportunity to work in a wide range of disciplines and to improve your skill sets in areas such as concept sketching, storyboarding, modeling and texturing, animation, lighting, rendering and effects.

Requirements

•    The ability to draw and sketch, either digitally or traditionally. Drawing storyboards, concept sketches, etc.
•    The ability to model, UV and texture low poly models for props, environments & assets
•    The ability to model, UV and texture low poly character models
•    The ability to rig and skin character models
•    The ability to create object and character animations
•    Knowledge of and experience with: lighting, cinematography, directing & rendering
•    The ability to create Flash graphics, animations, and scripts
•    The ability to edit Audio and/or Video, post effects, and final composition.
•    Knowledge of formats, exporting and Codecs.
•    Knowledge and expertise in developing and defining processes and workflow.
•    Knowledge/experience with traditional photography a plus, but not required
•    Knowledge/experience with motion capture a plus, but not required

Experience & Education

•    Minimum 2 year degree or Associate Degree in relevant art/production field (exceptions to this requirement may be granted if the candidate has an acceptable combination of relevant education and field experience)
•    Minimum 2 years of professional experience in creating low poly 3D models/scenes
•    Required Software Familiarity
•    Autodesk 3D Studio Max
•    Adobe Photoshop
•    Good written and verbal communication skills
•    Well organized and detail oriented
